On March 9, join contract faculty for a social media day of action
Dear Colleagues,
On Wednesday, March 9, OCUFA will hold its annual Social Media Day of Action in support of contract faculty (CF). Please join us in support of this group of faculty.
OCUFA’s annual Social Media Day of Action is a day for contract faculty and allies to come together to support better working conditions for contract faculty and all precarious workers on campus.
This year, OCUFA has nine faculty associations that represent contract faculty in bargaining, and the day of action is designed to support their bargaining efforts, specifically around job security, equal pay, and pension and benefits for contract faculty.
Below you will find graphics you can use on your social media platforms on the day of action as well as a list of sample tweets by following these instructions. You can also find all of these materials in the CFC Resource Bank on the OCUFA website. Feel free to use these graphics as your background filter on the video conferencing platforms on which you work and socialize to express the solidarity with contract faculty.
In the file, SM DoA Email Templates EN_FR, you can see the message templates directly from OCUFA both in English and in French. These templates can allow you to participate in OCUFA Annual Social Media Day of Action more actively if you are willing to do that.
